	The application is available in both English and German. The language of the application is set to your device's language. If the device uses an unknown language then English is automatically chosen as default.

Installation

Using the device. Please open this page with your device's internet browser. Open the link above to download the software. Usually your device now offers the option to install the software on it.
Using the PC. Download and save the two links above to your PC. Please consult the guide of your mobile device to find out how you can install the software on it.

Next birthdays. All upcoming birthdays are listed here. You can view the details of a contact. Please choose "View" to do that.
If there's no birthday in the next time a message will appear instead of the list.

The shown span of time can be adjusted in the settings.

All birthdays. All upcoming birthdays which are available in your address book are listed. You can view the details of a contact. Please choose "View" to do that. If you like you can create a birthday reminder for a contact.
If there's no contact with a birthday set then a message will appear instead of the list.

Calendar sync. With this feature you can create reminders in the calendar for each birthay. The reminder is created for the birthday . It is repeated each year so you need to sync only once.
The time of the reminder can be set. The time applies to the birthday. If you like you can be reminded in advance. Please adjust the reminder time for that. The time applies to the reminder time.
- Create missing reminders. With this command you can create birthday reminders for each available contact with a birthday date set. Only reminders for the not yet synchronized birthdays will be created.
- Remove reminders. This command shows an overview of all contacts for which a birthday reminder has been created. You can remove single reminders or all together.
- Back. With this command you return to the main menu of the application.
Settings.
- List details. Here you can set how many details are shown in the birthday lists.
  - Short. Only the contact's name is shown.
  - Medium. The name, the birthday and the current age is shown.
  - Long. The name, the date of birth, the time until the next birthay and the age at that day is shown.
- Names. This setting controls the appearance of names in the birthday lists.
  - Lastname, Firstname. Names are are shown with the last name at first.
  - Firstname Lastname. The name is shown with the given name at first.
- Show days in advance. This setting applies to the list of the next birthdays. Set the number of days you would like to see in advance. Typical values are 3, 7, 14 and 28 days.

1.	I can't sync my data using Nokia PC Suite after I did a calendar sync.
	This problem is caused by yearly repeated calendar entries. Please use HandyBirthdays to remove all synced entries from the calendar in order to be able to use Nokia PC Suite again. No problems are induced by calendar entries without a yearly repeat.
2.	How can I only sync the new birthdays with the calendar?
	This feature is available since version 0.10. Please read the help of the calendar sync: Calendar sync/link>. Please note that reminders which were created by version 0.9 or earlier can't be taken into account.
3.	How can I remove the calender entries the software created?
	This feature is also available since version 0.10. It's available in the Calendar sync submenu. Please note that it's not possible to automatically remove reminders which were created with version 0.9 or earlier.

Incompatible devices

All devices which do not support Java ME are incompatible with HandyBirthdays. Please let me know if you find a device with Java ME which doesn't work with HandyBirthdays.
